1. Introduction - How to load websites and scrape data
Learn how to load a website in WebHarvy's built-in browser, start a configuration and click on the data items you want to scrape. WebHarvy automatically picks up the same data from every similar listing on the page, so you can preview it and save it to a file or database.
2. Scrape data using multiple search keywords
Many websites only show data after you search. This video shows how to record a search once and then give WebHarvy a list of keywords, so it submits each keyword in turn and scrapes the results shown for every one of them.
3. Scrape data from multi level categories
Websites like online stores often group listings into categories and sub categories. Learn how to configure WebHarvy to follow each level of category links and scrape the data from the final listing pages, without configuring each category separately.
4. Scraping images
Learn how to scrape images along with text from listings. Click an image and use the 'Capture Image' option in the Capture window, and WebHarvy downloads the image files while it scrapes the rest of the data.
5. Pagination - Scraping data from multiple pages, infinite scroll
Data is often spread over many pages. This video covers configuring WebHarvy to load the following pages automatically, whether the website uses a next page link, a 'Load more' button or infinite scroll where more data appears as you scroll down.
6. Following links
Listing pages usually show only a summary of each item. Learn how to use the 'Follow this link' option so WebHarvy opens each item's details page and scrapes the extra data from it, in the same scraping run.
7. Using regular expressions to select data
When the text you click contains more than you need, regular expressions let you pick out just the part you want, like a price, a phone number or an email address. This video shows how to apply a RegEx to a selected data item in WebHarvy.
